NorthDown Brewery work with Prima Donna

This year is a super special release working with the fine folk at new hop collective ‘Hop-Along Thanet’ – A group of over 30 domestic growers have planted Prima Donna hops in their gardens we’re adding these to an English-style Pale Ale – Pure Green Hop satisfaction. The Hop-Along collective managed to yield 16kgs of hops this year so off to a flying start.

And after such a great response from last years release we return to the continent for our inspiration and a style that we think will work perfectly with English green hops, a Belgian-Inspired Patersbier. We’ll be sourcing fresh Ernest from our friends at Hukins Hops and are aiming for that sweet spot where spicy floral Belgian yeast and vibrant herbal green hops meet.

Available in 30L Keg and 9G casks

NorthDown Brewery – Hop Along English Pale Ale (4.5%)

Freshly picked peak season Prima Donna hops courtesy of Thanet Hop Collective ‘Hop-Along’ provide a heady aroma of candied citrus peel, cedar and green tea. We’ve kept the malt base simple with Extra Pale & Carapils malt to let the vibrant fresh hops shine. A gentle pithy bitter finish makes this a perfect pint.
